4th ANNUAL STEPS FOR SARCOMA 5K/1 MILE 2013 EVENT

We are pleased to announce our website for 2013 is open for registration, teams and team fundraising!  The 5K/1 mile event will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Wendy’s International, 4288 W. Dublin-Granville Rd., Dublin, Ohio 43017 with registration beginning at 9:00 am and we will offer the 5K and 1 Mile beginning at 10:00 am. 

Sarcoma survivors are encouraged to come together for a Survivor Photo that will be taken at 9:30 am.  Signs will be posted for the photo area.

Our event has grown each year in participants and funds raised for sarcoma research – last year we had over 600 registered participants and raised $37,000!  We now have an amazing three year total profit of $66,000!  We cannot thank you enough for your continued support and dedication to help raise awareness and much needed research dollars so that someday we will find a cure. 

This is a family event and we encourage our canine friends too.  Look forward to many activities this year – photo booth, silent auction, raffle items, and 50/50 raffle.  Medals will be awarded to the top five male and top five female finishers. Please check out our sponsorship site for new and exciting ways to sponsor your favorite patient and our research!

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Orthopaedic Sarcoma Research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.  Sarcomas represent a family of rare cancers that originate in the connective tissues, which includes fat, muscle, bone, cartilage, nerve, fibrous tissue, and blood vessels.
