Thank you for visiting the Steps for Sarcoma 5k website! Our first annual event was held on September 19th, 2010 in Upper Arlington, Ohio. We had more than 430 walkers and runners at the event. We cannot thank you enough for your support and dedication to help raise awareness and much-needed research dollars so that someday we might find a cure.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Orthopaedic Sarcoma Cancer Research Fund at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. Sarcomas represent a family of rare cancers that originate in the connective tissues, which includes fat, muscle, bone, cartilage, nerve, fibrous tissue, and blood vessels.

Event Details

• Date: Sunday, September 18th, 2011
• Time: 1-mile Walk at 8:15 a.m., followed by 5k run/walk at 8:45 a.m.
• Location: Thompson Park – South Shelterhouse,
  4250 Woodbridge Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43220

• Entry fees: $25 for 5k run/walk and 1-mile Thompson Park walk
• Awards: Top three male and female 5k run finishers will receive special awards
• Post-race Raffle: A raffle will be held post-race with excellent prizes!

Participants will receive a race t-shirt (first 500 registered) and post-race refreshments.

Packet pick-up begins at Front Runner in Upper Arlington on Wednesday, September 14 OR beginning at 7 a.m. the day of the  event at Thompson Park.
